Naturopathic Medicine. This philosophy values and understands each person, the person's physical, emotional, biochemical, spiritual, social and environmental circumstances. Naturopathic Medicine is a natural and holistic approach to healing.
The Naturopathic approach emphasizes self awareness and shows us ways to become aware of our Total Being. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual expressions and our environment are very important in the path of healing. With the Naturopathic approach we become responsible for ourselves in a gentle and effective way.
Taking into account lifestyle, including ancestry and cultural preferences as well as individual goals towards well being, Mercedes establishes an ongoing supportive relationship with each person. Mercedes 36 years of practice experience, studies and research in the fields of Medicine, Traditional Naturopathic Medicine and Energy Medicine provides us knowledge that we may use throughout the rest of our life.
During the first visit, the initial focus is in identifying and eliminating toxins and stresses rather than simply prescribing supplements which could add to the body's toxic load at this point. The Naturopathic approach is to cleanse and detoxify the body so it will be able to absorb nutrients.
Mercedes works together with you, as a team to create the most effective nutritional and healing plan for you. Working together means support and partnership, this is a cornerstone of the teachings of Traditional Naturophatic Medicine. Mercedes will evaluate your concerns and create a nutritional program with you. She will guide you to gain normal body function my enhancing the body's healing abilities through the understanding of your unique requirements as an individual. You will be help with nutrition, contemplative psychotherapy, the expressive arts and sessions of energy work of Jin Shin Jyutsu.
Most of the nutritional changes will allow you to look forward to a heightened sense of Well Being resulting from a more balance and harmonious life style.
During the first session we will create a healthy nutritional plan for you and your family. Included in this program will be:
a) A set of general health recommendations and literature to read. b) An evaluation of your individual goals for your Well Being. c) List of foods that are beneficial for you as well as those to avoid, this list will correspond to your individual needs. d) Several recipes tailored to your individual needs.
The body has the power to heal itself. Feeling well is dependent on how
effectively we assimilate and absorb our food and how well our bodies
detoxify. Toxins accumulate every day, from our food, drink, environment and from our normal metabolic processes.
Studies have shown that by making the proper food choices people can prevent many health problems that may include heart disease, obesity, cancer, and diabetes. If you have symptoms of any of these diseases you should be under the care of medical doctor. Feel free to call for an evaluation and to create a healthy nutritional plan for you and your family.
